This!! This right here was my reminder yesterday o This!! This right here was my reminder yesterday of Who watches over my city and Who leads our nation.

Regardless of today’s outcome, God is still SOVEREIGN on the throne.

You, King Jesus, are our hope!

As His children, we are called to live life in unity and pray for our leaders, whoever God allows to come into power.

So with every pang of injustice you feel, PRAY.

With every attack of anxiety of what’s to come, PRAY.

With every rise of anger in your veins, PRAY.

And every time your heart breaks with what breaks His, PRAY.

“We are to learn from the words of Ezekiel 22:30, ‘I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.’

May we be those who stand in the gap, who lift up our nation with all its favors and faults before the throne of God, and pray that He continues to work in our midst.”

Breakthrough (Pt 2 cont’d from previous post) B Breakthrough (Pt 2 cont’d from previous post)

But what I CAN tell you is that we got 12 offers on our home, most way over asking price.

I CAN tell you that our buyers stuck it out with us, despite every delay, even for 2 months after we were supposed to close.

I CAN tell you that, though we have no home of our own now, we are not homeless because of the love & generosity of friends & family.

I CAN tell you how overwhelming it was to downsize from a big house to an apartment so we NEVER would have been able to purge, pack, & move had it not been for the most amazing friends!

I CAN tell you that we got a phenomenal promotional deal for our storage unit.

I CAN tell that though I’m all over the place (in every sense of the word) & haven’t been able to prep for the school year the way I wanted to, I have friends who are supporting me so I’m ready to start next week.

I CAN tell you that my realtor, friend, & sister in Christ @tarshagibbons has also become my spiritual therapist & coach, talking me off the ledge practically on a weekly basis. She’s constantly reminding me whose child I am & that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him.

And I CAN tell you our breakthrough was that we finally sold our house on Thursday!!! Thank You Jesus!!!

Thank you to all who have given us words of encouragement & for your prayers.

We’re HALFWAY there & continue to live out Proverbs 3:5-6 as we wait for our new home because God is forever faithful.

To God be the glory!!
A breakthrough happened this week. (Pt 1) Last fa A breakthrough happened this week. (Pt 1)

Last fall, I was overwhelmed to tears with all the yard work & maintenance of our house.
The mortgage was increasing & it was just all too much without my husband here to help.

So in April we made the difficult decision to sell the house we had just moved into 2 years prior & purchase a 3 bedroom apartment for my mom, daughter & me.

I wanted to give God the glory & tell you that we were able to sell our home & purchase our new home simultaneously.

I wanted to tell that the whole process went smoothly because of the rough year we had endured.

I wanted to tell you that the house was sold & we found our new home before our many travels this summer because God is just faithful like that.

I wanted to tell you that I was able to set up our new homeschool space before the start of the new school year.

I wanted to tell you that moving into our new home was part of the healing we needed to ease into the next chapter of our lives.

That’s what I wanted to tell you…but I can’t.

We did find an apartment right away that we all fell in love with. However, for reasons that were out of our control, the whole process to sell our house took so long, that the sellers just went into contract with someone else…. (Cont’d in next post)
It’s been close to 8 months since I’ve written It’s been close to 8 months since I’ve written on here. Needless to say, the aftershocks of the last year and a half without my husband have had me on my knees and fully present for my daughter.

We were forced to walk through some dark valleys and, to my dismay, we’re in yet another one.

I have to be fully transparent since there’s freedom in confession and tell you my faith was shaken.

Not that I didn’t believe God was able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. But it was more like, will He?

Will He part the waters or is this just my cross to bear? Haven’t we gone through enough?

His answer was a simple one: “My grace is sufficient.”

Can I be honest again and say that was NOT the response I wanted to hear.

But it was the truth I NEEDED to stand on. His grace IS more than enough and He will NEVER leave my side.

I repented of my anger and resentment, and He continues to override the fear with His peace that surpasses all understanding and His joy that strengthens me from day to day.

I do see Him parting the waters and have asked Him to keep me steadfast, though I may feel like I’m drowning at times.

“My grace is sufficient.”

You, Lord, are more than enough and You WILL get the glory from this.

Thank you to those who have stuck it out with me and have kept us in prayer.

And to my new IG friends, welcome!

The Lord has kept me distracted with many travels this summer and I hope to share a little bit of that with you soon. 💕
