The greatest gift God gave me this year was peace,

the kind that stills the waters and restores my soul,

The kind that surpasses all understanding and protects my home.

That kind that only comes from the
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.

And that is the gift I pray for you on this Christmas Day.

There is still fun after a forced gluten-free/dair

There is still fun after a forced gluten-free/dairy-free diet, thanks to a very creative godmother! 😋

My best friend has been making gingerbread houses with my girl for 14 years! She didn’t let her goddaughter’s new health restrictions stop her from enjoying some holiday treats.

So she bought a house mold, DF chocolate along with GF pretzels, gummies, and Oreos. They then went to town with it.

They said this year’s theme was a simple cottage. 🥰

The sweet house didn’t last a week because my girl couldn’t resist the temptation of eating it! 😂

“Who renews their marriage vows for only 10 year

“Who renews their marriage vows for only 10 years? Isn’t that for a 20 or 25 year anniversary?”

These were the questions I asked my husband when he wanted to renew our vows, to which he responded, “Who cares. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Let’s do it for our 10 year anniversary.”

And so we did.

It was an intimate gathering, WAY smaller than our huge wedding.

My maid of honor and his best man (our son) were there. This time around, my bridesmaid was our officiant, our son prayed over us, and our daughter (who was 3 at the time) shared a sweet message with us in true silly toddler fashion. 😂

Our son @empanology had came straight from the airport where he had proposed to our DIL @rubyyyb in Paris so it was like a double celebration. 💍 🇫🇷 🎉 We had such a fun and special time together.

I am so glad I listened to my husband’s suggestion in NOT following the traditional route of vow renewal.

The memories from that beautiful celebration is like my husband’s gift to me today on our 20th wedding anniversary. 🥰

Come to think of it, nothing in my 23 years with E was traditional. Not our love story or how we became a family. Not our church. Not one thing. 🤔

I can see clearly now that we were bound to become homeschoolers, which was 💯% my husband’s idea too. 😂

Thank You Lord for my unconventional and unorthodox husband who helped break me out of many molds so I could become who You created me to be.
