Looking for Inspirational Talks
on Diverse Home Education?

Erika Alicea

…has a unique perspective on Home Education. For starters, she is a former public school teacher turned homeschooling mom of one…but didn’t home educate her daughter from the beginning.  Erika was born and raised in NYC, and has been homeschooling within this incredible urban setting.  She is a firm believer in a multicultural education for all children through the use of diverse, living books.  And Erika is a mama of color who loves Jesus.

In addition, Erika is co-host on the Charlotte Mason for All Podcast, a regular contributor to the Common Place Quarterly magazine, and co-founder of the Art of Color Study, curated art appreciation resources showcasing artists of color.  On any given day, you can find Erika taking pictures of nature treasures in the city that often go unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of urban life.
